In a privileged area in front of the sea, this project - located in Lavra, Matosinhos - seeks to integrate the surrounding landscape into the garden and bring pieces of the outside environment to the new house. In a dune context, the project's concept is therefore to be an extension of the surroundings. This dialogue with the outside is achieved through modeling - which reflect the presence of the dunes; with the use of autochthonous dune vegetation; and with the use of vernacular materials, such as sand and wood.
The chosen vegetation was based on the premise of adapting to the conditions of the place, namely the sandy terrain and salty winds. For that reason, the species selection is mostly autochthonous, with different shades and textures that communicate with the vegetation of the surrounding landscape.
On the upper terrace there is a living area with vases, furniture and an outdoor fireplace, where you can enjoy the sea views.
