Located in a villa in Lavra nearby the sea, this extensive rooftop aims to bring the dune environment from the beach into the house through the reproduction of the topography of the dunes and the use of typical species of these environments.
Composed by species that promote biodiversity, this extensive green roof explores the colours, textures, and sizes of the vegetation to create a composition with a strong seasonal interest, ensuring a naturalistic aesthetic that dialogues with the surroundings. In addition to their aesthetic value, green roofs have numerous ecological functions, such as protecting the waterproofing membrane of buildings, reducing energy costs thanks to the thermal insulation provided to buildings and real estate appreciation, just to name a few.
